This session introduces tools and techniques for setting expectations and building rapport in supervisory relationships. Participants will gain practical strategies for managing expectations, building rapport, and developing strong working relationships with their supervisees. This session introduces core supervisory skills and will be particularly valuable to colleagues who have recently taken on, or are preparing to take on, a supervisory role.
Learning objectives
By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
demonstrate an understanding of ways to establish and manage expectations in supervisory relationships
develop confidence in having open and constructive conversations with supervisees
identify insights into methods for building rapport.
