May 2026 update: New resources available
Three further interventions have been added to the Resource Hub:
Our priority for these interventions is to receive facilitator feedback on the materials themselves. The interventions have been developed by specialists in their subject areas, and perspectives from supervisors or researcher developers will valuably inform the revisions we go on to make.
Practitioner Partners may use these materials to plan and deliver local pilot sessions with their supervisors if they wish, as with the Phase 1 interventions. However, we do anticipate that many of you will not have time or capacity to fully deliver local pilots within the time available, but may have the opportunity to review the interventions themselves, and this feedback will be very welcome.
Information about the Facilitator Resource Hub
All RSVP Practitioner Partners can access our professional development interventions for doctoral supervisors via the Facilitator Resource Hub. From the Hub, you can:

Browse and filter the interventions by various criteria, including the UKCGE Good Supervisory Practice Framework

Download everything you'll need to deliver each intervention, including Facilitator Manuals, slides, and additional resources

Read step-by-step guidance on how to participate in the piloting programme and provide feedback to RSVP

Professional development intervention piloting timeline
February to June 2025
Pilots of the professional development interventions across the RSVP core consortium partners (York, SHU, Coventry, KCL and Nottingham).
June to October 2025
Evaluating the results of the pilots with the core partners and making refinements in light of feedback.
October 2025 to March 2027
Roll-out of the professional development interventions - start of 18 month pilot and evaluation activity with our Practitioner Partners.
