This practical workshop explores how research supervisors can provide clear, constructive, and supportive feedback that enhances doctoral researchers’ writing development and confidence. As part of the session, supervisors are encouraged to reflect on their current practices and explore evidence-informed strategies and tools that support both clarity and independence.
Learning objectives
By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
recognise the characteristics of effective feedback
evaluate and refine their own feedback practices
use tools and strategies to enhance feedback clarity and mutual understanding
encourage independence and critical thinking in PGRs by using reflective and collaborative feedback approaches.
