This session brings together research supervisors in peer-to-peer conversations about supporting diverse candidates to enable the sharing of practice and promote self-reflection. Participants will explore the distinctive challenges international doctoral candidates face and the dynamics of supervisory relationships.
Learning objectives
By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
recognise common challenges in supporting international PGRs and how they can be addressed
share practice on establishing relationships with international PGRs
reflect on challenges experienced by non-native English speakers with academic writing and how to support them.
