Writing is a fundamental part of the doctoral journey, yet it often presents emotional, motivational, and structural challenges. This session helps research supervisors reflect on how they support doctoral candidates with writing, encourages peer learning and introduces a practical framework for analysing writing issues and developing effective support strategies.
Learning objectives
By the end of the session, participants will:
understand the range of challenges doctoral candidates may face when writing
use a practical framework to identify and analyse writing barriers
explore tailored strategies to support writing development across different context.
