INITIAL PROGRAMME OVERVIEW
Initial Programme Overview
PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOPS — 17 MARCH 2027
Aimed at researcher/supervisor developers, this series of workshops will provide practical hints and tips, sharing of practice and honest reflections on what works in supervisor development. This one-day event will also provide an opportunity for building connections - developing a community of practitioners focused on supporting supervision practice.
MAIN CONFERENCE — 18–19 MARCH 2027
While the full programme — including details of all speakers, parallel session abstracts, and confirmed workshop leaders— is under development pending our call for contributions, we are pleased to share our intended structure for the main conference days.
The event will feature:
-
A scholarly foundation: Plenary sessions exploring perspectives and the scholarship of supervision plus sector-wide panels discussions about policy and practice and professional development
-
Diverse engagement streams: Multiple concurrent tracks focusing on scholarly papers, interactive culture change workshops, work-in-progress carousels, and platform pitches.
-
Community & Connection: Dedicated time for networking, including a lunch poster exhibition, afternoon breaks, and a welcome reception at The Milner Hotel.
Equity, diversity and inclusion are integral to all of our conference themes, and we will prioritise submissions which engage with these topics.
CONFERENCE DINNER — 18 MARCH 2027
Taking place on the evening of Thursday 18 March at the world renowned National Railway Museum, we will enjoy an informal meal, entertainment and ‘steam ahead’ with our supervisory conversations amidst insta-iconic locomotives in the Station Hall.
